CEB requests public to inform authorities of power failures

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy has urged the general public to inform the relevant authorities of any power failures due to the prevailing adverse weather. According to the Media Spokesperson of the Ministry, Sulakshana Jayawardena, after informing the Ceylon Electricity Board about such power failures, it will be restored as soon as possible. Jayawardena noted that the general public could use the 1987 hotline to inform the CEB of such power failures, in addition, they could also call 1901 - the hot-line at the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy. Consumers of the Lanka Electricity Company (Private) Limited or LECO in Colombo can call 1910 to inform of power failures.
