COLOMBO (News 1^st) – This year’s national Vesak festival is being held at the Devagiri Rajamaha Viharaya in Bingiriya. The opening of the National Vesak festival took place yesterday (April 28) afternoon under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena.

At the occasion, the president was presented with the commemorative stamp issued in line with this year’s Vesak festival and the president also declared open the newly constructed entrance way to the Viharaya.
