COLOMBO (News 1st) – A group of parents whose children study at the Bandaranayake Primary School in Nochchiyagama, surround the Regional Education Ofice today (April 25th).
The parents charge that there had been a shortage of teachers at the school for about five months and this has affected the academic activities of their children. The parents were remained location for about two hours.
They dispersed after the Zonal Education Director promised to assign three teachers to the school by Monday (April 30). The parents have vowed to if this issue is not solved by next week they will stage another demonstration.
