COLOMBO (News1st): Former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, wanted by the court over the bond scam allegations, is no longer residing at the address in Singapore.
Formerly, Mahendran has provided his Singapore address to the authorities, sources confirm.
An international courier service which was supposed to hand over the court issued notice has reported to authorities that Mahendran is not residing at that address.
“Mahendran had left the apartment sometime back,” said a resident of the apartment, an official who is handling the investigations confirmed.
The Colombo Fort Magistrate has issued a notice to Arjuna Mahendran to appear before the Director of the CID and provide a statement on the investigations no later than 08th of March.
Earlier, he was requested to appear before the court on February 16.
