Police have begun questioning the soldier suspected to have been carrying the hand grenade that exploded in a bus at Kahagolla in Diyatalawa.
Police had recorded a statement from his wife who came to visit him at the Diyatalawa Hospital on Monday. Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
A special five-member committee has also been appointed to probe the incident under the instructions of the Army Commander. The committee is headed by Major General Rukmal Dias.
It has been confirmed that the explosion in the bus was caused by a hand grenade that was in the possession of a soldier
