Madagascar makes way for 2018 Winter Olympics with a single representation

Among thousands of athletes representing the countries around the world, Mialitiana Clerc was the center of the attraction for a moment in Pyeongchang

Olimpic stadium.

She was the only representation in 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea for Madagascar. Speaking about the historical moment , the 16 year old described how her heart was pounding, hearing the roar of around 35,000 spectators. "It was very strange to take the flag" she told to the media with a proud feeling for herself as well as for the country. Mialitiana Clerc competed for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Alpine skie discipline, however  she did not win a medal for the country.
