The road from Borella to Battaramulla is well-known as a heavily congested nightmare to travel on during rush hours.
Traffic on this road is so bad, it is a common sight to see those driving eat their breakfast or supper while sitting in a bumper-to-bumper traffic.
As a solution to this hellish congestion, a fly-over was constructed at the Rajagiriya junction.
But, has it met expectations?
When News 1st visited Rajagiriya last night (January 8) and today (January 9), we witnessed that the situation is exactly the same.
A few motorists told News 1st that the congestion is actually worse than before.
