Norway extends partnership with UNDP Sri Lanka to support resettled communities

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) issued a media release on Monday evening, announcing that Norway extended partnership with UNDP Sri Lanka to support resettled communities.

UNDP Sri Lanka Country Director, Jorn Sorensen, and the Ambassador of Norway to Sri Lanka signed an agreement for a one year project with a value of USD one million.

The project will support 550 families, as direct beneficiaries in the Jaffna District with an emphasis on Myliddy Harbour areas.

The aim is to create sustainable living opportunities and to strengthen institutional capacity of the Tellippalai DS Division of Jaffna District.
