The suspect in connection with the assault and murder of an individual in the Weli Oya area, has been arrested.

Police said that the suspect was arrested following investigations carried out into the incident.

The 41-year old suspect is a resident of Athawatunuwewa and is set to be produced before the Kebithigollawa Magistrate’s Court later today.
