Police have launched investigations into three fires that were reported in Horana, Akuressa and Weliweriya. A fire erupted on the ground floor of a house in Dikhenpura on Friday night.

The damage caused by the fire has not been ascertained. Police said that a fire that erupted at an electronics store in the Akuressa town was doused.

A fire also erupted at a store in Weliweriya at 10.40 on Friday night. Police are investigating the incident.
