Transport authorities have taken steps to implement a special bus service for people who visit Colombo to celebrate Vesak.

The Sri Lanka Transport Board said that, buses will operate from main towns to religious places of worship.

Chairman of the National Transport Commission, M. A. P. Hemachandra said steps have also been taken to deploy extra buses as the need arises.
