A board has been appointed upon the instructions of the president to inquire and provide solutions in to the issues that have arisen over public transport.

The board will comprise of persons representing the transport and legal sectors and it will function from Monday, December 5.

The decision was reached following a discussion that took place on Saturday morning between President Maithripala Sirisena and representatives of bus unions.
