It was reported in New York (NY), that a person has stolen an 86lb (36kg) bucket of gold flakes off a truck, which is worth $1.6 million.

The NY Police are currently looking for the thief.

Surveillance video showed the theft happened in just 20 seconds while the armored truck was briefly unattended.

It also shows that the man struggled to carry the bucket of gold.

The thief has stolen the bucket of gold, when the guard stepped away to grab his mobile phone from the front seat of the truck.

NY Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, about 5ft 6in tall, 150lb and between 50 and 60 years old.

However, authorities believe the man is hiding out in Florida’s Orlando or in the Miami area.
