The Department of Coast Conservation and Coastal Resource Management has decided to implement a programme by which saplings will be planted along the coastal strip of the country.

Director General Prabhath Chandrakeerthi said that these steps will be taken in line with the National Tree Planting Month under the programme to create a Green Beach.
