Minister Faiszer Musthapha convened a media briefing today.

“We had a very successful party convention”, said the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, Faiszer Musthapha who added that several proposals were passed at the convention.

He further noted that some said that they will not attend the convention, and the SLFP responded, while the President also commented on the future of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

“We will never engage in politics where the UNP pulls the strings”, said the Minister who further noted that a five year consensual government was promised and everyone is aware that the President is committed to create a SLFP government.
