Dullas Allahepperuma and Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena of the Joint Opposition convened a media briefing in Matara on Saturday.
“As politicians representing the Matara District we are completely against the agreement reached at the meeting at the Sanath Jayasuriya Grounds under the auspices of the President and the Prime Minister”, charged UPFA MP, Dullas Alahapperuma.
MP Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena stated that the manifesto that was placed before the people during the parliamentary election must be protected but nowhere does it say that ‘we will be part of the consensus government.
“We cannot betray that policy nor can we join with people who are betraying that policy”, he said.
