Minister Chandima Weerakkody, speaking in Colombo, commented on the decision taken by MP Dullas Alahapperuma.
“This is not the first time that Dullas Alahapperuma has resorted to such a measure”, said the Minister of Petroleum and Petroleum Gas, Chandima Weerakkody, who pointed out that he made a similar decision in 2001, when the party was in turmoil and said that this country is not suitable to live in, and appeared on a campaign advert of the United National Party and left for the United States of America.
The minister further added that those who have been stripped of their organiser posts have not been removed from the party and there is belief that the persons appointed are not tainted.
