The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) says that the government has failed to provide the required concessions and amenities to those affected by the recent floods and the explosions at the Saalawa Army camp.
Propaganda Secretary, Vijith Herath said that that has resulted in the people taking to the streets in protest against this situation.
When an inquiry was made into the matter, Minister of Disaster Management, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa said that those affected by the explosions at the Saaawa Army camp, who have not received concessions as yet, may file an appeal against it.
The minster added that there will be a delay in providing concessions to the flood victims due to the lack of officers.
