The 212th edition of the News1st Classroom, media and leadership training workshop, is currently being held in the Medewachchiya Maithripala Senanayake Central College.

G.C.E. Advanced Level and Ordinary Level students, pursuing their education in mass media, attended the workshop. The students were given a hands-on approach to mass media and communications as well as the technology behind the television screens.

The students were also given a basic understanding of the operations in a newsroom.
