A 2,000-year-old 20-pound chunk of butter has been unearthed from a peat bog in Ireland, which is said to still be edible.

According to the Cavan County Museum, Jack Conway contacted the museum when he came across the disgusting 22-pound time capsule of butter while working near his home.

Hundreds of lumps of bog butter have been found in Ireland and Scotland, dating back over thousands of years, according a study published in The Journal of Irish Archaeology.
