Two youth died as a result of an accident near the Kiriwelkatuwa junction in Embilipitiya. Police said that the collision involved a car and a motorcycle.

The deceased youth were aged 21 and 29 years old.

The remains of the deceased have been placed at the Embilipitiya Hospital.

The driver of the car who was arrested in connection with the accident will be produced before the magistrate on Thursday.
