All Indian Fishermen who were under Sri Lankan Custody for violating the maritime boundary have been released.

Deputy Indian High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Jaffna,  A. Nadarajan stated that they were released after being produced before the Kayts and Mannar Magistrate Courts.

The move comes following a decision made by the government recently to release Indian fishermen who were arrested on the charge of violating the maritime boundry.
