Speaking at an event held in Dedigama on Sunday, the President of the SLFP Youth Front, Shantha Bandara, expressed views on politicians wishing to see a power transition.

The President of SLFP Youth Front stated that every time Mahinda is questioned on TV about the formation of a new party, he always replies, No.

“How far can a flea travel alone? But when it clings onto a dog’s back, the flea can travel very far. The flea gets a free ride”, he said. He added that it is the minor parties that want Mahinda to leave the SLFP.

He went on to note that no matter what development was undertaken in the past, the shortcomings highlighted by those teams on the Gammedda programme as seen the news on Sirasa TV who travelled from village to village, are the problems facing this country – and could not even be imagined such issues existed.
