Azath Sallyhas decided to step down as a UNP Central Provincial Councillor. Speaking to News 1st, Azad Sally said that his letter of
resignation was handed over to the party secretary.
He added that as a letter citing several reasons, which was handed over to the provincial secretary on January 30, to be handed over to the leader of the party and the party chairman, was not done, he has decided to step down from his position as a provincial councilor
A copy of the letter has also been directed to the chairman of the Elections Commission.
