The original all-star superhero team that made nerds and geeks all over the world shiver with excitement

For the past 8 to 10 years Marvel Comics has been dominating the superhero hype with box office hits such as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and the Avengers. During this period DC Comic heroes perfected their small screen persona as well as the video gaming arena. Although Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy put DC comics on the silver screen there was no clear plan to build the characters beyond the trilogy.

Now the DC officials have decided to finally counter the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) with their own, first out of the blocks was Superman : Man of Steel, this set the stage for the upcoming Batman V Superman : Dawn of Justice. On this platform DC comics is preparing to launch its own long-term campaign to bring the superheroes we grew up with to the silver screen.

The Avengers

However unlike Marvel Comics tried and tested formula of developing individuals  superheroes through standalone films and them pairing them up in the Avengers, DC has opted to put all the heroes in one move and then focus on their individuals films.

According to the concept art released through the newly created DC films Facebook page, Justice League Justice League – Part I will feature Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), and Flash (Ezra Miller). Fans were quick to cry out that Green Lantern should be part of the team as well as he was a member of the original seven of the Justice league. Following this outcry Warner Bros. confirmed the Green Lantern Corps will be appearing in the upcoming Justice League films.

DC films also released short featurettes of Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Flash so that viewers who are not familiar with the superheroes can get an idea about their characters. These featurettes can been viewed at the bottom of this article.
