MP Geetha Kumarasinghe, speaking in Elpitiya, commented on working with the government.

She said:

People from the Galle District are also attempting to chase me way. When this issue was at its peak, President Maithripala Sirisena said that I will be made the co-organiser of the Bentara – Elpitiya electorate in Galle. Then, Gayantha Karunathilake and I will be the co-chairpersons of the Development Committee. I do not like this in the government where both sides have come together.”

She also stated that she is thankful to President Maithripala Sirisena.
