A foreign woman has drowned in the seas near Weligama, Matara. According to the police the victim was a thirty-three-year-old Chinese national who had gone for a sea bath.

Police added that the body was currently lying in the mortuary of the Matara hospital and added that a post-mortem examination would be conducted later on Sunday, October 04.
