President Sirisena inquires into well-being of Ananda Vithanage

October 9, 2008 is the day Maihtirpala Sirisena, the current president survived a suicide bomb attack at the Pirivena Junction in  Boralesgamuwa while returning from the Bolabotuwa Fields in Bandaragama where the national harvesting festival had taken place.

Today, August 5,  President Sirisena inquired into the well-being of Ananda Vithanage, who was critically injured following the bomb attack targeting President Maithripala Sirisena, who served as the Minister of Agriculture at the time.

President Sirisena has had a long standing friendship with Ananda Vithanage, who served as a senior advisor in the Ministry of Agriculture.
