The enjoining order — which was issued preventing the convening of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party central committee without the consent of party chairman President Maithripala Sirisena — has been extended until Aug. 7.

This order was issued by Colombo Additional District Judge Harsha Setunga, based on a request made by Attorney-at-Law T. Weragoda.

The enjoining order was issued earlier after court considered a petition submitted by SLFP member Prasanna Solangarachchi.
