The PAFFREL Organisation says that 410 complaints have been lodged in relation to the upcoming general elections. However, Executive Director of PAFFREL, Rohana Hettiarachchi stated that the number of acts of election violence are lesser in comparison with the last elections.
Meanwhile, CaFFE says that they have received 521 complaints with regard to the violation of election laws. Executive Director Keerthi Tennakoon stated that the number of instances of election violence are seen to be gradually increasing.
The National Election Monitoring Centre has received 346 complaints with regard to incidents of election law violations.
