Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thero says that although there is no issue with former president Mahinda Rajapaksa contesting the polls, there is a question of whom his group would comprise.

The Venerable Thero made this statement at a press conference convened by the National Council for a Clean Tomorrow.

He added that they are vigilant over the political ambitions of former president Mahinda Rajapaska.

The thero added that if Mahinda Rajapaksa is contesting together  with the persons connected to fraud and thievery, they cannot form an alliance.
