JVP Politburo Member MP Sunil Handunnetti, speaking on the current issue, said that Comrade Somawansa had suddenly made a personal decision and personally convened a media briefing and made a statement adding that none of them in the JVP will make that decision.
He went on to note that they held discussions with Comrade Somawansa; as in the past, Comrade Somawansa will work with the party and with them rendering his fullest support.
However, speaking to News1st, Somawansa Amarasinghe noted that he would definitely be forming another political party.
