High speed chases are commonly witnessed between speeding cars and the police or speeding motorcycles with the police, however police in Shandong province china were involved in a chase that involved a 10 wheel truck.
A driver was recently detained by police for violating traffic regulations in the city of Weifang in east China’s Shandong Province.
Surveillance video footage taken on Thursday night (April 2) shows that a heavy-duty truck was weaving between vehicles and running through red lights on a busy intersection, ignoring repeated police warnings, road signs and police cone markers several times.
The truck, which was later found to be overloaded, was finally stopped by traffic police after about an hour’s chase. The truck driver said later that he ran the red lights because he did not want to be caught overloading.
The driver faces a fine of more than 2,000 yuan and a prison term of six months to three years.
