A collection of large Easter eggs, hand-decorated by artists and internally displaced people from eastern Ukraine and those that have fled Crimea, have gone on display in Ukraine’s Lviv central square.
Exhibition organiser Andriy Sydor, the colourful eggs are set to be sold at a charity auction raising funds for medical equipment for children’s hospitals.
Children and adults could be seen enjoying the annual Easter festival exhibition staged in Lviv for the fifth time.
Chilly weather forced the display to be moved to a candle making factory, originally intended to be placed in the open.
Ukrainian artists, some who collaborated with internally displaced people from the embattled east of the country, contributed to the festival.
Arts and crafts workshops are being held in Lviv as part of the religious festival with local artists collaborating with children, local residents and visitors.
The festival comes to an end on April 19.
