Diplomatic officers in Qatar to meet Lankans in Yemen

Officials of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Qatar have made arrangements to meet with  Sri Lankans who are stranded in Yemen owing to the ongoing conflict in that country.

Deputy General Manager of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment Mangala Randeniya said that the Sri Lankans are stranded in various parts of conflict -stricken Yemen.

He added that measures are underway to bring back these Sri Lankans back to the country.

Reports have suggested that 70 Sri Lankans are stranded in Yemen owing to the fighting. Meanwhile, issuing a communique the Ministry of External Affairs requests that any information on the Sri Lankans stranded in Yemen be provided via the contact numbers, 0112 323 015 or 0115 839 414.
