The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna or JVP says that the party will arrive at a
final decision regarding their participation under the National Executive
Council based on discussions due to be held with civil organisations that
came together to defeat the regime of Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Issuing a communique, the party said that they are drawing fine conclusions
based on the recent political line ups and developments. The communique
also added that the National Executive Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday,
had been cancelled without prior notice.
The JVP states that this an associated government formed under the guise of a
national government.
The Communique goes onto state that the party can no longer expect good
governance as promised during the run upto the election, because now the
government consists of individuals charged with corruption from the former
regime.

It added that the JVP, being a political party that focussed mainly on the latest
political developments had intended to bring up this situation at the
National Executive Council Meeting that was initially scheduled for Tuesday,
 but later cancelled.
The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna says that the National Executive Council
must convene immediately to take up the issue.
