A panel discussion on the the Proposed constitutional amendments covering the concerns of the minority communities was held in Colombo on Monday.
The panel discussion was organised by the Muslim Council of Sri Lanka.
TNA MP M.A Sumanthiran said that they have agreed though that it must happen in a proper democratic space, with full discussion without rushing through parliament or through any other process and are willing to have that long drawn out discussion in the next Parliament.
Meanwhile, Director General of TRC M.M. Zuhair noted that the people of this country voted for change on January 8 this year. He added that they need to be fully alert to ensure that those pledges are fulfilled.
