The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) states that the landslide warning that was issued for eleven districts around the country continue to remain in place due to the inclement weather affecting the country.

Director of the Landslides Studies Unit of the NBRO, R.M.S. Bandara stated that the landslide warning will remain in place till Saturday evening.

The NBRO earlier issued landslide warnings to eleven districts including Matale, Badulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Kegalle, Ratnapura , Galle, Matara and Hambantota
