Will it be a blue and green or red blue and green regime that will replace President Mahinda Rajapaksa? I believe that none of these entities will serve the people. Both candidates in the main capitalist camp are carrying out campaigns targeting the majority Sinhala Buddhist people in the South. I wish to inform you, at this media briefing today, that the United Socialist Party, has decided to contest on a platform of installing a Socialist, left programme.
Ex-Co Member of United Socialist Party, Attorney-at-Law Srinath Perera expressed these views;
A bond of fifty thousand rupees must be paid. In truth, we do not even have the money to pay that bond. If I am to speak the truth, then I must also note that we are hoping for assistance from the already burdened people of this country, to place the bond.
