A warning of landslides, backslides and earth slips have been issued to the Ratnapura district due to the inclement weather conditions.

This warning which was issued by the National Building Research Organisation will be in effect till Tuesday evening.

The NBRO notifies that Balangoda, Imbulpe, Kolonna, Ratnapura, Kahawatte, Nivithigala and Godakawala divisional secretariat areas too come under the warning. The NBRO requests from the public to be vigilant of hilly areas and roads with slopes when carrying out their day day activities
Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology says that thundershowers will develop in many areas in the country.
