The Tamil National Alliance raised a question in Parliament over a recent homicide in the North.

TNA MP,  Suresh Premachandran expressed these views;
A forty-year-old father of two, Krishnasami Naguleshwaran was gunned down by an unknown gunman in Wellankulam, Mannar. This is an area with complete army protection. Everyone knows that there are uniformed and plain-clothed military personnel in every part of Mannar, Vavuniya and Kilinochchi. In such an environment, how did this murder take place and what was the aim of it? This homicide takes place ahead of the presidential election. The victim was one who was at a state rehabilitation camp for a year and a half. The government says that over 10,000 persons were rehabilitated. There are two matters that arise here. This is an attempt to chase away the youth of the country or to instill fear on who would be killed next. The other is to create a notion ahead of the president poll amongst the Sinhala Community that the LTTE is still operating and  prevent the youth from entering politics. This needs to be condemned. The government planned this killing. This is an attempt to chase away the Tamil people. This needs to be stopped.
