The DMC states that as of now 25, 000 persons have been affected by floods and landslides owing to inclement weather conditions.
Two women were killed when an earth slip fell on their house in the Wathukarakanda area in Walegoda, Balangoda early Tuesday morning.
The victims have been identified as 17 and 24 year old. The mother of the two women who were injured in the incident was admitted to the Balangoda Hospital. According to our correspondent, residents in the area are finding in difficult take the remains of the remains of the two women to hospital due to the heavy rains experienced in the area.
