Seventeen persons have been injured in a motor accident between two buses in the Wanaraja Kovil area along the Hatton-Norwood main road.

The Police Media Unit stated that a bus travelling from Hatton to Norwood carrying garment factory workers collided head on with a private bus plying from Bogawantalawato Hatton .

The incident took place around 7.45 a.m.and  the workers who suffered injuries were rushed to the Dikoya Hospial.

Investigations into the incident are being carried out by the police.
