Brad Hodge completed 6000 runs in the history of T20 cricket when he was on 15 during his knock of 40 in the Indian Premier League match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians at Ahmedabad on Monday.

At the end of the match, Hodge’s run aggregate stood at 6025. Hodge, thus, became the second batsman in the history of T20 to complete 6000 runs after Chris Gayle. Jamaican Gayle has an aggregate of 6168 runs.

Hodge has scored 611 boundary fours which is a record for most boundary fours scored by a batsman in T20 games. He has also scored 178 boundary sixes. Hodge is the only batsman to score 600 plus boundary fours in T20 games.

The 39-year-old Victorian has scored 41 half centuries in T20 games which is the record for most half centuries scored by a batsman in T20. Gayle is close behind with 39 half centuries. Hodge is the only batsman to register 40-plus half centuries in T20 games.

Having played 15 T20 internationals for Australia, Hodge is one of the six cricketers who has played 200-plus T20 games. The others in the 200-plus club are: South African Albie Morkel (267), Aussie David Hussey (231), West Indian Kieron Pollard (227), South African Alfonso Thomas (203) and Dutchman Ryan ten Doeschate (202).
