Army Media Spokesperson Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasuriya says that over 7,000 security force personnel will be deployed for security purposes for the victory day celebrations to be held on Sunday
Brigadier Wanigasuriya said that the parade this year will consist of three parts.
Meanwhile, Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that a special traffic plan will be implemented in Matara on Saturday as well, in lieu of the Victory Day celebrations to be held on Sunday.
The fifth annual victory day celebrations are due to be held in Matara under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
