Former Sri Lankan cricketer passes away in Australia

D. Hemachandra De Silva , a talented first class cricketer of Sri Lanka in the 1960s to the 1970s passed away on Friday morning while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Melbourne , Australia.

Hemachandra was eighty-two-years-old at the time of his demise and is the brother of Former Test Cricket Captain and Former Chairman of the SLC D.S. De Silva and D.Premachandra who also represented Sri Lanka.

A proud product of Mahinda College , Galle, D.H.Premachandra also played for the NCC.
