A protest was held on Friday against the alleged Ad-hoc changes in the number of students admitted through the Law College Entrance Examination.

The Law Entrance Students Collective and a group of monks commenced this protest march from the Piththala Junction on Friday morning. Subsequently,  the group arrived at Temple Trees to hand over a letter to the President.

The police intervened at this instance and took five of the protesters to meet with a Co-ordinating Secretary to the President.

The group blocked the road and remained at the location. A tense situation then arose. Subsequently,  another secretary arrived at the scene and said that he would intervene to resolve the matter.

The protesters then dispersed.
