UNP parliamentarian Sajith Premadasa participated at an event held in Walasmulla area on Tuesday.

Concessionary loans were distributed among  women in the Kirama area in Walasmulla under the Jana Suwaya programme at the event which was held under the auspices of Sajith Premadasa.

UNP Parliamentarian, Sajith Premadasa shared these views: “According to ministers Rajitha Senaratne and Janaka Bandara Tennakoon, everyone who swindles money is inside the Parliament and members of the UPFA. They also have rapists, child molesters, people who defraud from the treasury and individuals who import illegal drugs and ethanol.  The  rich 20% of the population reap the benefits of 54% of the country’s income while the poor people only enjoy 4% of the country’s income. That means the gap between the rich and the poor is widening steadily. There is a growing contrast between the the rich and the poor.”

Meanwhile, a Sasunata Aruna programme was held at the Mahawasi Rajamaha viharaya in Pannegamuwa. Concessionary loans were distributed here as well through the Janasuvaya programme. The parliamentarian donated building material worth Rs.126,000 to the temple.
