The departure time of the express train ‘Udarata Menike’ bound to Badulla has been changed. Accordingly, the usual departure time of 9.45 a.m. will be changed from January 5 to 8.30 a.m. The Udarata Menike train bearing number 1015 bound from the Fort Railway Station to Badulla and the train bearing number 1016 that departs from the Badulla Railway Station at 05.45 a.m. to Colombo will be powered with the S.12 variety of Chinese power set-ups.
The train includes a 66-seater third class carriage, a 44-seater second class carriage and an air-conditioned 44-seater first class carriage which is open for seating reservations.
Meanwhile, the train bound from Colombo to Badulla bearing No.1007 that previously commenced the journey at 8.30 a.m. will leave the station at 9.45 a.m. from January 5.
