Two Indonesians Arrested at BIA with Over Rs. 60 Million Worth of "Kush" Cannabis

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Officials from the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) have arrested two foreign nationals at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake for attempting to smuggle a large consignment of "Kush" cannabis into the country.

The suspects have been identified as Indonesian nationals, aged 22 and 30.

The seized narcotics weighing approximately 6.401 kg of "Kush" cannabis were discovered concealed in five packets inside their luggage.

The narcotics are expected to be approximately exceeding Rs. 60 million.

The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court today.
